This Privacy Policy applies to Above & Beyond School (A&B School) candidates and students when using A&B School admissions website and its other services which we here collectively call the Service. We may periodically update this Privacy Policy by posting a new version online. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by posting a notice in the Service or by email prior to the change becoming effective.

THE DATA WE COLLECT

Data you provide us:

  • Contact information (such as name, email address, postal address, cellphone number).
  • Profile information and data for registration (such as gender, date of birth, language).
  • Your messages to the Service (such as support requests).

Other data you choose to give us.

Data we collect automatically:

  • Data about your use of the Service.
  • Data about your device, such as IP address; device name and ID; operating system, browser type and language.
  • Data we collect with cookies and similar technologies (see more below).
  • General location data based on your IP address.

THE REASON WE COLLECT YOUR DATA

We collect and process your data to:

  • Deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user: We may process your information to provide you with the requested service.
  • Fulfil and manage your orders. We may process your information to fulfil and manage your orders.
  • Perform marketing.
  • Keep the Service safe and fair and to fight fraud by analyzing and monitoring the use of the Service and taking action against non-wanted activity.

LEGAL BASES TO PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION

We only process your personal information when we believe it is necessary and we have a valid legal reason (i.e. legal basis) to do so under applicable law, like with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services to enter into or fulfil our contractual obligations, to protect your rights, or to fulfil our legitimate business interests.

This privacy notice does not apply to the personal information we process as a ‘data processor’ on behalf of our customers. In those situations, the customer that we provide services to and with whom we have entered into a data processing agreement is the ‘data controller’ responsible for your personal information, and we merely process your information on their behalf in accordance with your instructions. If you want to know more about our customers’ privacy practices, you should read their privacy policies and direct any questions you have to them.

TRANSFER AND SHARE YOUR DATA

A&B School has partners to perform services for us. These partners process your data according to A&B School´s instructions to provide the Service, such as hosting, technical support, analytics and fraud prevention. These partners may be located outside Cambodia. Your data can therefore be transferred to South Korea and anywhere in the world. Because different countries may have different data protection laws than your own country, we take steps to ensure adequate safeguards are in place to protect your data as explained in this Policy. Adequate safeguards that our partners may use include standard contractual clauses approved by EU Commission and the Privacy Shield certification in case of transfers to South Korea.

YOUR RIGHTS AND OPTIONS

Access the personal data we hold about you: If you request, we will provide you a copy of your personal data in an electronic format.

Your other rights: You also have the right to correct your data, have your data deleted, object or restrict how we use your data, or withdraw any consent you have given. We will respond to all requests within a reasonable timeframe. If you have an unresolved privacy or data use concern that we have not addressed satisfactorily, you may contact your local data protection authority within the European Economic Area for unresolved complaints.

PROTECT YOUR DATA

Security Safeguards: In order to help ensure a secure and safe Service, we are continuously developing and implementing administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or against loss, misuse or alteration.

Data retention: We retain your personal data for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required by law. Note that if you ask us to remove your personal data, we will retain your data as necessary to comply with our legal obligations or defend our rights.
